Frames/Ink is a custom frame shop and art gallery run by professional
artists Janet Palin and Ken Levine, both graduates of the Rhode Island
School of Design. Serving the North Quabbin region of Central Massachusetts
for over 12 years we specialize in custom matting
and framing using only archival materials to enhance and preserve
the work brought into our shop. We offer expertise in needle art mounting
and framing, sports memorabilia and object shadow boxes, and other creative
and professional services, such as antique picture frame restoration
and calligraphy/illustration.
The gallery features local artists' work as well as Janet's pastel landscapes of New England and New Mexico and Ken's miniature collages and shadow boxes. Also available for sale are antique maps and botanical prints and posters from numerous catalogs featuring a wide range of subjects.
We have both taught art locally in elementary schools, at the Petersham Craft Center and Greenfield and Gardner Community Colleges. Our hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-3, or by appointment.
